Our core business involves recycling non-hazardous petroleum impacted soils and creating large end-markets for the product by remediating and developing large brownfield tracts.

Recycling Services
Soil Safe recycles contaminated soil. We don’t dump it – we process the soil to meet market specifications. Then we test it to make sure it is appropriate to use as permitted. No other soil recycling company in our market areas do that. Most “recyclers” rely on shortcuts in “beneficial use” rules which allow them to use assumed in-place data from the generator’s site instead of testing the actual material to be used or placed.
Soil Safe accepts the following source-separated recyclables and other non-hazardous materials:
- Petroleum impacted soils
- Clean and residential soils
- Stone and Rock
- Concrete, Asphalt, Brick and Block incidental to excavation of soils
- Dredge material

Manufacture an Engineered Product
Soil Safe uses two recycling processes. On the West Coast, we use thermal desorption to drive off and destroy organics in the soil.

On the East Coast, we use a cement-based solidification/stabilization (S/S) process to bind constituents in a solid matrix.

Making a Product
Unlike beneficial use, recyclables are processed to make a product that meets end use specifications and then certified prior to placement
